About Archway House

Archway House is not a halfway house, nor is it an isolated rehab facility. We’re an upscale sober living home for men in recovery who can’t completely step away from their professional lives. We know that as C-suite and executive-level professionals, you have a lot of people relying on you – you can’t just put your work life on hold. We’ve tailored our program so that you can keep your career on track while getting the support you need to keep going on your recovery journey.

At Archway House, you’ll be able to keep your phone, your laptop, and your car and integrate recovery into your existing life responsibilities. You’ll enjoy amenities like exercise machines, a pool table, a fire pit, and a Jacuzzi. Each resident has their own furnished room, so you’ll enjoy privacy while living in a community of up to six residents.

About Charlie Smith

Archway House is owned and was founded by Charlie Smith, a recovery advocate and founder of the Executive Transformation Program. With a long career as a commercial real estate developer and entrepreneur, Charlie battled addiction and alcoholism and has been sober since 2008. He’s dedicated his life to helping other executives stay sober. He founded Archway House to meet the unique needs of men like him and is committed to helping residents live the life they envision.

Community Support for Sober Living

One of the greatest advantages of our sober living home is being around other individuals who can identify with what you’re going through. Our weekly house meetings are a supportive, non-judgmental space to process the successes and challenges of being in recovery. Each weekly house meeting follows a similar format:

Check-In & Plan for the Week Ahead

We get together every week as residents and the support team to review and process the past week. We celebrate the recent achievements that residents want to share with the group and help them plan for the week ahead. What projects are coming up at work? Do they have upcoming presentations or deadlines? These stressors can trigger each individual in different ways, so we strategize about how we can stay present and be aware of our emotions, even when faced with challenging situations. As a group, we talk through what each resident needs to help them achieve their goals for the upcoming week.

Recovery 411

While we have a qualified team at Archway House, we know that residents need – and deserve – a network of services to help them continue their recovery journey. Each week we provide a brief Recovery 411 presentation on supplemental resources, such as:

  • Area meetings

  • Support groups

  • Counseling

  • Career coaching

This information helps ensure that residents are aware of the ways they can stay on track. We also help residents remain connected with their sponsors and find a new one if they desire.
